Kwame’s Big Day is about a young village boy in southern Ghana. His home life is based on and confirmed by several Ghanaian friends who grew up in similar circumstances. Kwame is happy to be able to attend Royal Promise Christian School. March 6 is the day Ghana celebrates its independence, and it is a big day for Kwame, as he will participate in a marching competition in his village.  Readers of all ages will enjoy his story and learn some new things about southern, rural Ghana. We are always learning, and we continue to learn from others. All proceeds from this book help fund the education and literacy programs for the Royal Promise School in Asikuma, Ghana.

Ann (Ana for Spanish books) M. Morris knows that children have vivid imaginations and an insatiable love of learning. She writes in English as well as in Spanish, hoping to encourage not only children and parents learning to read their native language, but to also motivate other language learners to challenge themselves with lower level reading in English and Spanish. In addition, she uses different ethnic characters to let children know that all are welcome.

Her newest book is Kwame’s Big Day. This book is dedicated to her years of mission work in Anum-Asikuma, Ghana, West Africa. She has many friends and family members close to her heart in that piece of heaven.
