A children’s book following a dog’s journey along the Pacific Crest Trail — written by her human and her childhood friend.

The Pacific Crest Trail is 2,653 miles in length that extends from Canada to Mexico traveling through Washington, Oregon, and California. The route passes through 25 national forests, 7 national parks, and even sections of private land. Follow Indi’s 500-mile journey along this trail in Washington as she learns to grow with her fears.

To take it one step further, the back of the book activities extends what’s read on the pages into the natural world near the reader with their guardian. They further guide the reader to explore through their senses at their local park or simply by being near a window.

About the Author:

Madison Traviss is a long-distance hiker who discovered her love of walking meditation, bringing it with her along the Pacific Crest Trail. Upon arriving back home, she became a Certified Forest Therapy Guide through The Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. She guides people to connect with themselves, the more than human world, and strives for reciprocity to preserve these sanctuaries.

She lives on the road in her bus with her partner Heath and spirit guide Indi, enjoys hygge time with friends and family, making creative meals with leftovers, and finding hidden corners of places new to her.

The book is illustrated by Sien Tran, a childhood friend of Madison Traviss.
