WELCOME TO BEAVERDALE BOOKS
Since 2006, Beaverdale Books has been selling new books in all genres, literary-themed sidelines, greeting cards, and merchandise from the Beaverdale Neighborhood Association. We support and represent over 500 local authors in our “Iowa Author” section. We host author events, book clubs, and writers groups, and partner with schools and other local businesses and organizations. Discounts for teachers, book clubs, and veterans. Special orders welcome!
We are committed to making the community a better place by promoting the value and pleasure of reading. Our mission is to provide the people of our community exceptional personal service by offering a broad selection of books and book-related items, by sponsoring reading and writing events, and by sharing our love and appreciation of books and reading.

LOCAL AUTHORS
We support and encourage Iowa writers, and over 500 of them are represented in the store! Many are published with the “big houses,” and some with smaller independent presses, but most are self-published. We have a successful and long-standing Consignment Program that any author may participate in. We also offer event options, including Local Author Fairs 2-3 times each year, and have a special display area for recently released books.
