Kevin Wilson’s new book, Run for the Hills, is being released on May 13. was named a Most Anticipated Book of 2025 by Time, People, BookRiot, and others. The novel tells a raucous and moving story of an unexpected road trip across America that brings a family together.
Kevin Wilson is the New York Times best-selling author of five novels, including Now is Not the Time to Panic, Nothing to See Here, and The Family Fang, as well as two short story collections. His writing has won him the Shirley Jackson Award, appearances on many best-of lists, and Nothing to See Here was chosen as a TODAY Show Read with Jenna Book Club pick in 2019.
Wilson lives in Sewanee, Tennessee, with his wife, the poet Leigh Anne Couch, and his sons, Griff and Patch, where he is an Associate Professor in the English & Creative Writing Department at the University of the South.

- In the Des Moines Public Library parking garage, located on Grand Ave.
- On the surface lot on the corner of 10th St. and Grand Ave., across from the library.
- At the end of the program, there will be a question and answer period. A book signing will follow.
- Books will be available to purchase before and after the program courtesy of Beaverdale Books.
