The Iowa Poetry Association, Poetry Palooza! and Beaverdale Books are proud to once again be part of the popular Art on the Prairie. Poetry has always been included in the annual celebration, and this year it will be featured at the Towncraft Building located at 1122 Willis Avenue in Perry, IA. Planned events include poetry readings by some of Iowa’s leading poets, open mic opportunities for poetry lovers, and workshops for poets, including a Generative Poetry Workshop by Kelli Lage and a Spoken Word Workshop by Leah Waughtal-Magiera. Come and share your creativity by crafting a magnetic word poem. All events are free and open to the public.  Beaverdale Books will have books available for purchase and signing.
