A century ago, railroads stretched across Iowa, linking hundreds of depots in towns large and small. Meet Me at the Depot celebrates those which remain, and honors those which have been lost, with photographs by award-winning photographer Bob Nandell.  Still going strong at age 80, Bob continues to share his many skills derived from forty-five years of working for newspapers in Davenport, Milwaukee, Mason City and Des Moines.

About the Author/Photographer…..

Bob especially likes to work with black and white photos and prose poems, mostly dealing with Iowa related topics.  His other books include Empty Windows, County Line Roads, and Maple Street Stories.  He also plays clarinets and saxophone in local community bands, and wrote a number of Gospel song lyrics on a new album by guitarist/singer Mike Law of West Des Moines titled ‘Grandpa’s Bible.’
