The Des Moines Public Library has teamed up with the Varsity Theater to present an evening of entertainment and Beaverdale Books will be there, too! See the 1981 classic movie Mommie Dearest (directed by Frank Perry) followed by a discussion of the making of the film and its reception with Hollywood historian A. Ashley Hoff. Copies of Hoff’s new book, With Love, Mommie Dearest: The Making of an Unintentional Camp Classic, will be available for purchase and signing at the event, courtesy of Beaverdale Books.
